Generally, I don't like to plug other websites in my blogs. And I definitely don't like advertising for other websites. But this time, I feel I must. Mainly because of what this company has done to make my website making experience fun.
They take the steps that Bravenet, Yahoo, Geocities, even Google to an extent, and mix all the best parts of their services together to give a great user experience. And all for free too.
They have a vast database of decent, and exciting skins for your website, and they have excellent and easy to learn tools to edit your site also.
Their customer support is very helpfull and they have awsome if not interesting help pages for general problems people have with making a website.
This company has made it even easier to own a website now. And they've made it so that just about anyone short of being completely incapable of doing anything, is able to make a website.
We give them a great applause, and hope they are a provider for us for a long long time.
I've owned many Webcams. I've owned three to be exact. I've owned the first ones that came out. They were of very poor quality. Then I started getting into Logitech cameras. I had one that was a picture camera, and then could also be used to be a webcam. That was the best webcam I could have ever had. It broke sadly. So I was without one for a long time.
Till now.
I purchased a QuickCam Express. It was a decent webcam. A bit grainy for video. It's lighting solutions sucked balls. But it was decent compared to it's competitors. And then, I found the one I have now. Recently just bought a Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP. Damn good webcam. It's not the 100 dollar or more webcam you'd expect for the quality it has, but it's damn good for it's price. It cost a little over 50 bucks, and it's got some awsome features.
First off, the camera has infinitely better quality than my last one. The only drawbacks I can think of for it is the fact that it doesn't have auto focus, and there is no focus ring on it. Which in all reality, is not too bad.
It does have the capability though to follow movement. It has face recognition technology that allows it to see your face, and then identify it from everything else, and then it follows you for a couple degrees. This is great for those of you who like to move alot in your videos.
The other cool things about it is that it has a privacy shield. Or what they call a privacy filter. It's sort of a nifty option you can use for when the camera isn't on, and you dont want any inquiring eyes with hacking abilities to be able to capture a picture, or see your house without your permission.
It also has two great features besides the built in Microphone wich is very sensitive. These two features are called RightLight Technology, and RightSound technology. The first one ballances light in the room to get the best picture quality possible. The second, ballances sound so that if there's any background noise, it will filter that out, and only leave your own voice. It's ingenious. It's got it's drawbacks though, sometimes your voice can seem garbled, and when this happens it's possible to just turn off the RightSound feature, and use just normal sound parameters.
Over all, this camera is great if you do casual video blogging or if you want to post videos to YouTube or any other video sharing site.
I suggest it to anyone looking for a good webcam experience.
9 out of 10 for quality.
It's sad, and unfortunate. The single most speaker for common sense in this PC world has died.
No, we're not talking about Bill Gates or some hippie that was famous back in the days when your parents were into the free vibe. No, we're talking about the most funny man when it came to every day questions that you wanted answers to. George Carlin.
This man was a gleaming light to all those who questioned why things went the way they were. He attacked everything that either did not make sense, or made you wonder : Why'd they do that?
He even was so bold as to start a comedy skit for the Seven Words You Cannot Say On TV or Radio. These words even at one point in the seventies got him arrested for disturbing the peace and other such nonsense. His case got to the Supreme Court and they dropped it. Saying that although what he did was in bad taste, it was his constitutional right to say these words and the peace was not disturbed in any way.
These words we are not affraid to repeat. They go as follows:
Shit Piss Fuck Cunt Cocksucker Motherfucker Tits
